Featured above are a collection of photos taken over many years of my wildlife encounters. I’ve spent a lot of time hiking mountain peaks, trekking through forests, and wading rivers in search of these animals. Oddly enough though, most of my memorable encounters were taken in the comfort of my own car and from the closeness of my own backyard. The moral of the story is, you don’t need to drive or hike very far distances to get a look at these animals. Many of them are in our own backyards. All it takes is a keen eye, and some patience to catch a glimpse of these wonderful creatures.
